Basic Estate Plan
These are documents that EVERY person over 18 needs to have in place

- The HCD lets your loved ones know your wishes involving end-of-life treatment and designates someone to make those decisions on your behalf.
More Advanced Planning
Advanced Planning gives you more advanced control of your assets
Living Trust, Pour-over Will, POA, HCD
$3,500 +
This allows you to control the distribution of your assets without the need for Probate Court. The Trust provides a shell of anonymity (for those interested) and your assets would be distributed according to your wishes without the high costs of Probate, and they could be distributed immediately after your death without the 6-month creditor/claims period required by Alabama law.
Complex Estate Planning
The intricacies of more Estate Planning are too much for me to list here, but there are First- Party and Third-Party Special Needs Trusts, More advanced asset protection, QTIPs, QDAPs, SLATs, Medical Planning Trusts, Pooled Trusts, Generation Skipping Transfers, etc., etc., etc.
Special Needs Trusts

These are designed to care for someone who may have need of government assistance (SSI/SSDI) without cutting off their Medicaid/disability qualifications.

It is impossible to list a price for some of the more specialized and particular estate plans. This is a general estimate based on estimated time spent.
