If your loved you passed away leaving a Will behind, their Estate will most likely need to be "administered" (basically: taken to probate court). Even if they did not leave a Will, their Estate may need to be administered (particularly if they owned land in their name).
This process is very time consuming (there is a claims period that must be open for 6 months) and very particular. The Courts generally require an attorney to be involved in the process.

So long as the Will is uncontested, the general rate is 2.5% of the value of the Estate's assets to open and 2.5% of the value to close the Estate.
Our minimum fee is $5,000.00. ( Paid half upon signing the Client/Attorney agreement and half within 30 days of the Court's Granting of the Letters Testamentary)
