BJ is a Tuscaloosa native. He received his undergraduate degree and MBA from the University of West Alabama and his J.D. from Birmingham School of Law.
He has practiced independently since 2020. After beginning with a broad practice, he focused his work on criminal defense, probate and estate planning, and adoptions.
BJ currently serves as municipal public defender for Brookwood, Centreville, and Vance, Alabama.
